Though I have owned many different breeds of dogs in my life and bred my Dobermans, I am relatively new to Greater Swiss Mountain Dogs, having been introduced to them in 2001. However, after meeting my first Swissy, I couldn't wait to own my own. And so, Maggie came into my life. She is my foundation bitch and an integral part of my life. I am also the main focus of attention (except for Maggie, of course!) of a wonderful, young male from Switzerland named Zuoz, who is another of my treasures. Then came a new light in my life - a little girl named Skye - one of Maggie's puppies - who, actually, isn't so little any more. And now there's Ali - a little bundle of energy who grows as I watch her. It would seem it's true that - like potato chips - you can't have just one! So along with my wonderful old girl, Mariah (a Heinz-57 varieties), who so stoically puts up with all the antics of "the kids", I truly do have a wonderful "family"! |
